Thor: Love and Thunder – Chris Hemsworth's pledges "Crazy off the Wall"

Thor : The God of
Thunder and Love has concluded filming, and a new set
shot shows Chris Hemsworth in the best form of his life as the Thunder God.
Thor: Love and Thunder has finished
filming.
Hemsworth commented on Instagram, "That's a
wrap on Thor Love and Thunder." “It's also National Don't Flex Day, so I
thought this incredibly laid-back shot would be suitable. The movie is going to
be insanely amusing and will probably tug at a few heartstrings. There's a lot
of love and a lot of thunder! Thank you to the entire cast and crew for another
fantastic Marvel adventure. Buckle up, get ready, and we'll see you in the
theatres!!”
I have no idea what "national don't flex day" is, and I don't care. I do know, though, that Hemsworth's arms are giving me a hard time, and whatever hopes we had of emerging from lockdown in superheroic shape may need to be adjusted after seeing this photo of the actor in full God of Thunder form. Has Hemsworth ever been this big for a role before? It's quite impressive.

Director Taika Waititi, who is rocking some very
impressive Korg gear, is with Hemsworth in the pic. After making his initial
appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, it's wonderful to hear that everyone's favourite
rock warrior/gladiator/pleasant chill gentleman will return.

But take a closer look at that image.
Thor's t-shirt has a somewhat Jack Kirby-esque feel to it (much like Thor:
Ragnarok), but it also appears to be a stylized portrayal of Yggdrasil, the
world tree, a significant aspect of Norse mythology and Asgardian tradition.
Thor also has a Jack Burton vibe going on in this photo, which is quite
interesting. But take a closer look...
Is Hemsworth holding a handbag? Is that
a spiky, rock n' roll concert handbag, for example? Is this Thor's satchel?
Maybe he's keeping Jane Foster's purse for her because she'll be assuming the
role of God of Thunder in this adventure, and she's too preoccupied with
smiting adversaries to deal with the problem right now.
This is the closest we've seen to an official set photo, but recent leaks have hinted that Thor: Love and Thunder will be just as wacky and enjoyable as Ragnarok.

Following the success of Thor:
Ragnarok, director/writer/actor Taika Waititi and Hemsworth will reunite for
the following Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Despite the fact that the film
is still a solo picture for the God of Thunder, it also features Valkyrie,
Mighty Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Korg, Gorr the God Butcher, and a
large cast of additional characters. The majority of set images for Thor: Love
and Thunder continues to promote Hemsworth's new Thor look and his tremendous
muscles, despite the fact that production has been ongoing in Australia for
several months.
Thor: The God of Thunder and Love Jane Foster is played by Natalie Portman,
Valkyrie is played by Tessa Thompson, and Gorr, the God Butcher is played by
Christian Bale. Oh, and Russell Crowe in the role of Zeus. This is
going to be a wild ride.

After spending much of Avengers:
Endgame in a bulky costume, it's evident that Hemsworth is looking forward to
the chance to show off his true physical figure once more. Thor: Love and
Thunder appears to provide him with a plethora of clothes that reveal his
change. Given his recent set photographs of Thor working out in a headband and
his heavier looks the last time fans saw him, it won't be shocking if Thor 4
features a fun 80s-style training montage to highlight how the God of Thunder
gets back in shape.
However, Thor's muscly look isn't the
only transformation shown in this Thor: Love and Thunder set photo. Waititi's
mo-cap costume for his role as Korg is extremely interesting. While filming
Thor: Ragnarok, the creative creator donned a typical mo-cap outfit, but this
image shows him wearing a shirt with Korg's rock design on it and armour on top
of it. This could just be Waititi's way of having fun, given that Korg will be
a CGI construct once again, but it might also be an authentic picture of the
friendly warrior. If the fur collar and armour are included, they will be a
lovely addition to Korg's appearance.
However, now that Thor: Love and
Thunder has ended filming, fans will have to wait for the film's marketing
campaign to see more of these characters, as well as the first glimpses of many
of the film's other performers.
