Loki Release Date, Cast, Episodes, Trailer, Review, and More You Want To Know.
On Disney+, "Loki" will be the MCU's third television show.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows on Disney+ are still
growing.
When the six-episode series arrives on Disney's streaming service on June
9, it will be the franchise's third television show.
Oh, yes, that's correct. Loki is the God of Mischief. Disney+ announced on
May 5th that the series would premiere on June 9th, with subsequent episodes
airing on Wednesdays. (It's possible it was pushed to avoid competing with the
streamer's forthcoming Star Wars show, "The Bad Batch," which has
already secured a Friday release date.
“WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” which launched on Disney+ in January and March, respectively, were the shows that came before it in the MCU TVverse.

The show will follow the unpredictable villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as he
resumes his job as the God of Mischief in a new series set after the events of
2019's "Avengers: Endgame," according to Disney.

Loki has long been recognised as one of the most popular characters in the
Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether as a villain or not. Hiddleston played the
character in all three “Thor” films, 2012's “The Avengers,” and 2018's
“Avengers: Infinity War.” In both the original “Thor” film and “The Avengers,”
the character was the main antagonist.
Marvel revealed the first complete trailer for Loki in early April. There's
Owen Wilson and there's time travel! Despite
or perhaps because of the coronavirus.

The only veteran of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who has been confirmed to
appear in the series is Tom Hiddleston. He'll co-star in the show with Owen
Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, a Time Variance Authority employee (more on that
organisation later). Gugu Mbatha-Raw will also star as a TVA member. Sophia Di
Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant are among the other cast members,
however Marvel has yet to reveal anything about their characters.

Loki fled imprisonment only to be captured by another group, as seen in the
aforementioned series teaser. Loki appears to have been apprehended by an
agency known as TVA, which in Marvel comics is known as the Time Variance
Authority. Given that “Loki” takes place after the time-traveling events of
“Avengers: Endgame,” the agency is responsible for monitoring numerous
timelines in the comics, which makes its participation in the series
reasonable.
Though it's unknown what Loki's objectives are for the rest of the series,
he says that Heimdall (who perished in "Avengers: Infinity War") and
Thor "best be ready" in one scene. Is Heimdall returning to the
Marvel Cinematic Universe as well? What will Thor's reaction be to his
adversarial sibling reappearing? Only time will tell if this is true.
A flash back to the previous film
Loki died in “Thor,” only to be revived in the film's post-credits sequence without explanation. In “Thor: The Dark World,” he also pretended to die. Thanos said there would be "no more resurrections" when he choked the life out of Loki, presumably for good, early in "Avengers: Infinity War," and it's become a running joke in the movie. Regardless, we've arrived.

Loki that will feature in the upcoming Disney+
show hasn't been resurrected. Loki in this rendition is from a previous
timeline: In “Avengers: Endgame,” Iron Man, Captain America, and Ant-Man time
travelled to the events of “The Avengers” in order to reclaim an Infinity
Stone, but the stone ended up in the hands of Loki, who used it to escape
incarceration in that timeline. The escaping Loki is far more aggressive than
later iterations of the character, and it's uncertain how or if he'll be told
of the events that occurred after the events of "The Avengers." Time
travel can be perplexing.
From Director and Author
All six episodes of Loki season 1 were directed by Kate Herron. Herron also
serves as an executive producer on the show Loki.
“I adore genre films, sci-fi, and fantasy,” Herron explained, “but what was
very essential to me was peeling away all the outlandish components to discover
the heart of this storey.” “What is the relatable message at the heart of Loki
if we strip away all the bells and whistles? It was a journey of self-discovery
for me, and I was trying to figure out where I fit in the cosmos since, clearly,
we deleted his cosmos. His reality is erased. It's a morality tale as well as a
storey of reinvention. Is it possible for Loki to find kindness within himself?
To me, Loki's path is all about accepting himself.”
On Loki, Waldron serves as the show's creator, lead writer, and executive
producer. He previously worked on Rick and Morty season 4 as a writer and
executive producer. Waldron contributes to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of
Madness as a writer.
Hiddleston, Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Stephen Broussard are among the executive producers of Loki. Trevor Waterson and Kevin R. Wright serve as co-executive producers.
