In a spectacular third season, Jurassic World: Camp
Cretaceous returns for another round of spectacular Brontosaurus-sized
adventure, upping the action, and mayhem while sticking to an
increasingly conventional storey framework.
If you missed Season 1 but are familiar with
Jurassic Park's legacy, you're presumably aware that the show is set in a theme
park with genetically produced dinosaurs. If you've seen Jurassic World, you'll
know that Season 1 of Camp Cretaceous took place during the events of that
film. Season 2 chronicles the aftermath of the Indominus rex, a experimental dinosaur hybrid that terrorises the island and causes the visitors
to depart. We find, however, that not everyone made it leave the island: the
teens who were part of the first trial group of campers have been left on their
own, assuming that one of their fellow campers died during the group's attempt
to flee.
As a result, central character and dinosaur expert Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams) and fellow campers Brooklynn (Jenna Ortega), wealth-hailing Kenji (Ryan Potter), suspiciously-extroverted Sammy (Raini Rodriguez), bookworm Ben (Sean Giambrone), and athlete Yaz (Paul-Mikél Williams) were threatened and separated as the first season came to a close (Kausar Mohammed). While Camp Cretaceous' status as a children's animated series avoids the danger of beloved core characters being disappear onscreen in the manner of the film franchise, the series' stakes are as high as any $150 million-budgeted blockbuster. The presence of executive producer Colin Trevorrow, who, of course, oversaw the film franchise's relaunch with 2015's Jurassic World, supports this theory.

Showrunners Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley also serve as executive producers on Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, with Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow, Frank Marshall, and Lane Lueras joining them in this role.
One of Season 2's highlights is
the investigation of dinosaurs as creatures deserving of study, observation,
and protection, rather than only as monsters and opponents. Darius's
love to the dinosaurs from the first season grows and eventually spreads
to the other campers as they make first-ever observations of dinosaurs in the
wild. The incorporation of Darius' field notebook (and Yaz's drawings) as part
of the plot will delight kids who grew up watching animal and dinosaur science
shows like Wild Kratts, Dino Dan, and Dino Dana. Kids will also likely
identify some true animal behaviour research in the dinosaurs' behaviour.
The ensemble, as in the previous season, does an
excellent job of establishing a diverse and lovable array of characters. Season
2 has softened off the edges of several of the campers who were prickly in the
first season. Darius is portrayed by Paul-Mikél Williams with all the heart he
showed in the first season. Despite her star status, Brooklynn, played by Jenna
Ortega , shows more vulnerability and a
desire to fit in.

The dinosaurs are still as amazing as they've
always been. My criticism that the kids appear to be cut and pasted into a
presentation with great scenery and perfect dinosaurs stands, however the dino
animation continues to improve with each passing year. After being featured in
marketing materials for the first two seasons but never appearing in action,
our girl Blue finally gets her chance to shine. It serves as a pleasant
reminder of what happened recently while also allowing us to hop between the
Jurassic Park and Jurassic World playgrounds.
Season 3 of Camp Cretaceous is without a doubt the
spookiest season Netflix has ever produced. I'm a seasoned horror fan, and
there was one scene in particular that made me jump. Moms, don't be concerned!
Things don't get too serious for the younger crowd; instead, the island's fear
factor increases as the stakes for the campers rise.
Though I am not able to confirm or deny the entrance of new human characters, I was disappointed that Season 2's Hap (Angus Sampson) did not return triumphantly. I was convinced that his death in the previous chapter was a ruse, and that we'd see him again later. He and Brookylnn had a great chemistry, and it's a bad we didn't get to watch it develop. What I'll say is that we're getting to the stage where these youngsters don't require any parents assistance. Which is excellent, because Roxy (Jameela Jamil) and Dave (Glen Powell) abandoned them on the island six months ago and have yet to come to their aid.

Season 3 is the most convincing evidence yet that they should. When the final credits of Season 3 of Camp Cretaceous roll, it's evident that the show has established itself as an important part of the greater Jurassic canon, one that fans of all ages can appreciate. Regardless of where the storey of Camp Cretaceous goes next, it's been a joy to watch its characters grow up in the most trying of conditions.
